2009 Coca-Cola Holiday Concert Series

Ring in the holidays with beloved traditions and sacred and joyous celebrations at the 2009 Coca-Cola Holiday Concert Series.  From Handel’s Messiah, Gospel Christmas, and Christmas with the ASO, to A Kid’s Christmas, A Very Merry Holiday Pops, and New Year’s Eve, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) captures the essence of the season as only the ASO can.

• Holiday Series Will  Open With Program Featuring Handel’s Messiah And Bach’s Christmas Oratorio.  Breathing the spirit of the season as no other work does, Messiah sets the table for glorious holidays at the ASO. Director of Choruses Norman Mackenzie leads the Chamber Chorus in the Christmas portion and “Hallelujah” Chorus.
  
• Conductor Chelsea Tipton II To Lead Atlanta Symphony Orchestra And Gospel Choir In “ASO Gospel Christmas”
  
• Conductor Jere Flint To Lead “A Kid’s Christmas” - Featuring Lee Harper & Dancers and Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra
  
• Norman Mackenzie To Lead Atlanta Symphony Orchestra And Chorus,
  Morehouse College Glee Club, And Gwinnett Young Singers In “Christmas with the ASO”
  
• Michael Krajewski To Conduct “A Very Merry Holiday Pops” - With Lassiter And Walton High School Choirs, Pianist Sam Stryke, and Piano Juggler Dan Menendez
  
• Special Guest Soprano Sylvia McNair To Perform Selections From The Great American Songbook In “ASO New Year’s Eve”
