State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox and Dr. David P. Driscoll, Chairman of the National Assessment Governing Board (NAGB), selected Riverwood International Charter School to visit on November 11, 2009 to examine Riverwood’s success in implementing the new math curriculum.

The visitors discussed the state's higher expectations and the mathematics curriculum and talked with math teachers, administrators, and Ms. Linda Anderson, Deputy Superintendent for Instruction, Fulton County Schools.
Dr. Driscoll is also the former Commissioner of Education for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he oversaw the implementation of more rigorous mathematics standards.
