I have lived in Mableton all of my  life and I`ve attended Harmony LeLand elementary and was taught by the late MS. Moon, MS. Hurst, MS. Culpepper, the late MS. Chambers, MS. "BULLDOG" Davis and MS. Devine "WHO WAS NOT DEVINE AT ALL"!

Then it was off to Floyd where the boys were more interested in fighting than getting an education and except for MR. Latimer and MR. Barlow I can`t say much more except Floyd was the school known for teaching future prisoners.

Then all though it was in Austell, it was off to South Cobb which was a so so school.

I remember the South Cobb skating rink where you could count on a brawl breaking out just about every night as well as the old R.J.`s pizzaria which is now Jolly Joes, Mac`s barbeque which was known for their chilie dogs as well as McGoo burgers, Geno`s Pizzaria and Mickey`s cafeteria.

I run a Mableton yahoo community chocked full of photographs as well as a calendar with certain events booked in it.

The most memorial people I can think of are "NO THAT FLAG CHANGER IS NOT ONE OF THEM":

MR. Cook who was a barber back in the late 50`s through late 60`s.

MR. Blaylock who ran the grocery store at LeLand Plaza.

MR. McKyten who was the neighborhood druggist who ran his store in LeLand Plaza.

The Wilson Brothers who ran a barber shop next to Old Hickory barbeque with one of the brothers still working in Mableton in LeLand plaza and the other one who moved out to Austell who`s still my barber today.

Reverand Bob Baxter who does his surmons at Mount Harmony Baptist church.

Andy Dupree who made a lot of metro Atlanta laugh on 96 rock a few years ago.

And oh yes, who could forget Smith`s supermarket?

Recent developments include the park ride station for those of us who would prefer riding public transportation.

The Silver Comet which is a favorite of my Mother`s.

And of course the Mablehouse Amphitheater .

Well that`s my prespective of Mableton and thank you for dropping by.
